Druid wild shape question re: +hit

Bit of a noob question here:  the dire wolf's attack has +5 to hit.  Is that in addition to the strength modifier or does it replace the usual strength + proficiency modifiers?  Dire wolf has a strength modifier of +3.  So would I add 8 to attack or add 5?  Thanks in advance.

it's total
3str+2 proficency (wolfs level not druids) = +5

wild shape is mostly good for the HP you get, not offense. and utility.
