| #1UndrhilMar 12, 2015 6:18:07 | So, the Earth Genasi has a racial ability called "Meld with Stone" which allows them to cast 'pass without trace'. I don't understand why they didn't simply allow them to cast 'meld with stone', instead. Or, as a throwback to the 4e Earth Genasi, allow them to cast 'earth tremor'.
I'm mainly wondering if this might have been a mistake and they *meant* to have them cast 'meld with stone' like the name of the feature suggests. Because pass without trace doesn't really 'meld with stone', to me.... |

certainly a possibility. |

I seriously doubt that PwoT is a mistake.

Personally, I think the Pass without Trace spell is better; it can affect the entire party and is easily interpreted as sinking into, and moving through, the earth/stone (merging with it). Meld into Stone provides no movement and opens up the possibility of plenty of damage. |
