| #1Nivek_LoneshadowSep 12, 2014 18:09:44 | I tried to find the errata thread assuming this one has already been talked about but I failed my investigation roll.
This spell appears only on the Paladin list yet it says it can be cast with spell slots of higher than lever 5. What other classes are allowed to cast this spell? |
| #2AaronOfBarbariaSep 12, 2014 18:49:06 | It isn't on any other class' spell list by default, but Bards can choose to gain the spell with their Magical Secrets class feature.
Edit to add more: A multiclass paladin/other-spellcaster combination can end up having spell slots of higher than 5th level while having access to the spell because of being a paladin. |
| #32ChlorobutanalSep 12, 2014 18:51:37 | It is a little odd but completely usable in the rules as Aaron pointed out. |
| #4NachturnusSep 12, 2014 22:22:52 | There are items that give you access to spells cast at specific levels.
For example, you could get an amulet that automatically casts level 6 Fire Shield and level 6 Elemental Weapon with the fire damage type, at which point knowing the scaling would be useful.
