#1 Dyndrilliac Nov 17, 2014 17:25:42	My interpretation of the spell is that you can Dash as a bonus action (including on the same turn that you cast the spell) in addition to your "standard action." Further, you can use that standard action to forego an attack or spell and use Dash again for a total of two Dash actions in a single turn to the tune of 4x movement in a single turn (so potentially 120 ft or more). Am I reading the spell correclty?   The reason that I ask is my DM is hesitant to allow so much movement. We are at the end of Episode 3 of HotDQ and our party wrecked Mondath's guards so bad she decided to run away, and just before ending the session, my character began pursuit by casting Expeditious Retreat. Given that she has a 30 ft. movement speed and a 1 turn head start, the furthest she can possibly get is 60 ft. Therefore I should be able to move past her and cut her off given an open enough area.
#2 iserith Nov 17, 2014 18:05:12	As I see it, you'd be doing a Dash (from the spell) + Move + Dash (action) + Dash (bonus action) which would be 120 feet. On subsequent turns, you could Move + Dash + Dash for 90 feet. On the first or any other turn, you could easily catch someone with a speed of 30 feet, all other things being equal.   Of course, she might have a special ability that allows her to move at the speed of plot at which point you're screwed. Depends on your DM.
