My question is, if it's cast in a 5 ft. wide corridor would a creature take damage by moving *through* the sphere on its turn and ending its turn more than 5 ft. away from the sphere? e.g. a creature is coming down the corridor at the caster. |

Mainly because the spell says you can ram it into a creature, rather than moving it through a creature. I would say that if you ram yourself into the sphere, it counts the same as the sphere ramming into you. |

However, I decided to enhance the rule in actual play, and let damage occur to anyone attempting to move through the flame as opposed to avoiding it. My reasoning is that if the thing is so hot it does damage just being near it, it must be at least as damaging to actually go through it. After all, it also does damange when the caster forces it into a creature, so its obviously works that way as well.
