Would you let me use them as improvised weapons against each other (smashing them together say)? I'd hope to do the normal 1d4 + Str damage to each of them. It would require an attack roll of course, I'd say against the higher AC of the two. |

You roll once, if it beats both of their rolls to resist, you clonk them together like a pair of cocoanuts. After all, you're not actually trying to hit them. You're already holding them and not letting go. |

I think letting it work with extra attack is too good. But also making it a Str (Athletics) check is maybe sketchy because you can boost that up really high (and opponents typically won't). Also seems like armor class should be involved.
Maybe I could say that you can generally use your action to smash a grappled opponent into something (the ground or a wall maybe), make an attack roll as if using an improvised weapon. If you want to smash two creatures together like I suggested, maybe you make an attack roll against each and if both hit, you deal damage to both. Sort of like a version of disadvantage.

| #11mrpopstarMay 24, 2015 11:02:15 | The rules for falling imply that you must move more than 10 feet before impacting a hard surface in order to take damage (which is supported by the rules for shoving a creature not including hard surface damage considerations given the 5 feet of movement), so I think I would allow the exploit to take place without any additional checks and simply rule that both targets are knocked prone.
