#4 OoftaMeg Nov 05, 2014 11:08:23	It depends on how you interpret "One effect reducing the target’s hit point maximum" line of greater restoration.  I would say that for purposes of greater restoration, the max HP reduction from the same type of attack would be restored.   If your HP maximum was reduced by multiple attacks from undead doing necrotic damage 1 casting.  It's the same necrotic effect reducing your max HP.  Kind of like how your house is on fire just once even if there were multiple causes of the original fire.   If your HP maximum was reduced by necrotic energy and separately by poison by RAW it would take 2 castings.     If the latter situation ever came up I would let 1 casting take care of both, but that's just my house ruling.
#5 lawrencehoy Nov 05, 2014 21:25:10	I would agree with OoftaMeg's interpretation; but, even limiting the spell to a single attack, you would only have to remember two numbers: total Max HP reduction and highest Max HP reduction.   EDIT: Well, that is, for only one casting. I guess you would have to keep track of each reduction; if you intended to use multiple castings of the spell.
