If I am being grappled by something and I cast Gust on myself, would I be able to push myself out of the grapple? Would I be able to fail my STR save on purpose for this? And would this be considered forced movement for the purposes on not provoking an attack of opportunity? |

Though i rule that while you could push yourself, the grappling creature would make the Str save to hold on to you, with disvantage. |

Yes, it would be forced movement but 5' is not enough to put you out of reach so no OA... |

The spell specifically says the effect originates from you in a direction you choose. However, you could direct the Gust of Wind at the creature grappling you and push them away, potentially ending the grapple. |

But if for some reason you do find a reason to Gust yourself that I would allow - such as being run over by an Air Elemental's "whirlwind" effect - many casters have poor STR scores, so failing the STR save should just come naturally. I can also see Gust-ing yourself out of a Grease'ed area or other on-the-floor trap.
