Does this still apply in animal form?
I'm working on a paladin/Druid build around smiting in beast form.

| #3FunkySpunkJun 27, 2015 9:43:56 | But does a race feature like that apply in beast form? |
| #4El_CondoroJun 27, 2015 15:05:15 | The new form is physically capable of doing critical damage, so yes it does. |
| #5jaelisJun 29, 2015 11:17:00 | Easy answer is yes. But features retained in wild shape seems like a pretty ripe place for DM judgements. For instance I wouldn't let a dwarf keep poison resistance. But I wouldn't have any problem with the half orc ability. |
| #6El_CondoroJun 29, 2015 14:56:43 | Although the DM is able to change the rules as desired, a player who had his druid nerfed in this way would have a legitimate case to ask why it was done (after the session). The rule clearly only prohibits the use of special senses and features that can't physically be used by the new form. That dwarf's innate poison resistance should be usable by the new form. |
