So how to play it?:   The wording seems to say that it can even after the saving throw, but then when? If it was a reaction I would understand, but if you suddenly have to take a saving throw and want to use this and its an action, then how?   R e s is t a n c e Abjuration cantrip Casting Time: 1 action Range: Touch Components: V, S, M (a miniature cloak) Duration: Concentration, up to 1 minute You touch one willing creature. Once before the spell ends, the target can roll a d4 and add the number rolled to one saving throw o f its choice. It can roll the die before or after m aking the saving throw. The spell then ends.
#2 Plaguescarred1 Sep 14, 2014 6:41:32	While casting resistance require an action, using its buffing effect doesn't and can therefore be used whenever you want during a save.
#3 Timmee Sep 14, 2014 7:03:39	The casting of the spell is an action. Applying it to a save doesn't require an action or reaction. And as the text states, once used (and used only once), the spell ends.
