Searching this forumn does not seem to work for me. I can even copy and past a topic title into the search box hit search and it returns no results, though I would expect at least one. Hitting search again on that page seems to search the whole web site giving too many results to be useful.
For example I typed "dual wield" and also "dual", without the quotes, in and got no results even though I just read a topic about it.
Is there some kind of trick to make the search work? I just want to search this one rules forumn, not the entire site.
Without any easy search function people are going to be asking the same questions over and over.
Even if you get it to work, it's not terribly useful since it searches the entire forms.
I got a search on dual wielding off but most of the posts that came up were from the 4e Char. Op board.

This forum software is terrible.
You can do a somewhat targeted search like this:
site:community.wizards.com/[specific forum or thread]
DO NOT search any URL with numbers at the end. Always remove them but leave the last "/" in place. Also don't include "http://"
Example:
If you want to search the "D&D 5E Rules Q&A: Ask a Simple Question, Get a Simple Answer" thread you'd type into the Google search box:
site:community.wizards.com/forum/rules-questions/threads/ [Your question here without the brackets]
Try it (copy and paste the entire next line into a Google search field):
site:community.wizards.com/forum/rules-questions/threads/ druid
This search syntax will hit every thread under "Rules Questions" on the site, so pay attention to which area the Google results are in once you click the link.

You know what bothers me, seeing the misspelling in the title of this thread everyday, stuck at the top of the forumn (sic). Why was this stickied? The one good suggestion makes a case, but could we get a spelling correction at least?
I was tempted to make a snarky reply that correct spelling yields results, but as other posters have pointed out, the forum software is trash.
...So FOUR months later, and the Search functionality on this site is still lamer than a homegrown site built by highschoolers in 2007...
When in the world will Wizards fix this?!?!?

I have had limited success with using the forum numbers in my search.
I have found a lot more success with using "wizards community" in my search.
