Hi, I have some questions about the level 2 enchantment wizard feature, Hypnotic Gaze.. It's on page 117 in the Player's Handbook

The text for the feature is as follows:

Starting at 2nd level when you choose this school, your soft words and enchanting gaze can magically enthrall another creature. As an action, choose on creature that you can see within 5 feet of you. If the target can see or hear you, it must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw against your wizard spell save DC or be charmed by you until the end of your next turn.  The charmed creature's speed drops to 0, and the creature is incapacitated and visibly dazed.

3. "Once the effect ends, (see ending conditions) you can't use this feature on that creature again until you finish a long rest." If it saves, you can't use it again. If it failed the save and the effect ends, you can't use it again.

You can use it as many times per day as you want, but only once on any individual creature. As soon as the effect ends (whether from a save, not sustaining, movement, damage, etc.) you cannot use it on that creature again. You may still, however, use it on other creatures who have not yet been affected by it.

I suppose if the target is incapacitated & dazed for any lengthy period, it will guess something funny happened regardless...
