Hey guys, quick question here. I think it's one of those rules that are up to the DM, but it's worth asking.
There are several fire monsters on the MM that set charachters on fire when they hit, dealing X damage every character turn.

Does this effect stack?

If a fire elemental -who sets on you fire for 1d10 every turn- hits you twice will you get 2d10 per turn?

if they don't stack, what happens if it's from two different soureces? (like attacks from both a fire elemental and a magmin, who does 1d6/turn)

I think they should stack, but looks like a huge damage output...

And if they stack, will you need an action to get rid of all the fire or just one fire effect ?

Cheers!

Magical effects of the same name do not stack.  (and presumably these are magical fires).

yeah fair enaough I agree with you

BUT I just noticed that the Fire Elemental effects apply at the start of the character turn, while the Magmin effect at the end of the character turn...

Overall in my opinion that would suggest that if coming from different sources they should stack...
