Inspiration, Lucky and Advantage

It seems to me that being Lucky is strictly better than having Inspiration, and that doesn't seem quite right. Inspiration says:

 

If you have inspiration, you can expend it when you make an attack roll, saving throw or ability check. Spending your inspiration gives you advantage on that roll.

D&D still isn't about making roleplaying mechanically more powerful than any other option (like, say, the riddle of steel RPG does)

 

On the other hand, inspiration is still more powerful than...absolutely nothing at all in previous editions.
