What's the background of this script being being used by the other races?

| #2SpedGuyAug 17, 2014 21:59:05 | It may change depending on setting, but I recall that Dwavish was based on the older Giant language, and thus shared a runic alphabet. Gnomes in turn developed their language from Dwarvish. Gobliniods and Orcs I think are more likely to have 'adopted' the (written) language of one of their chief enemies rather than inventing a script of their own. |
