| #1fargusJun 06, 2015 12:58:11 | I play a Trickery Cleric in one of my campaigns, and at 7th level, I usually have Animate Dead prepared. However, I'm a bit confused on how it works. Does it only create the "basic" zombies and skeletons, or would some creatures provide stronger versions of the undead? For example, would a Zombie Bugbear be tougher than a Zombie Human? If so, do I just apply the "Zombie race" from the DMG? I'm also wondering if it could be used on creatures who appear to be humanoid, but are actually Abberations or Monstrosities, such as Mind Flayers.
Lastly, if I wanted to create Zombies or Skeletons from Beholders, Owlbears, Chimeras, etc., how would I do that? edit: An addendum: how does one heal undead created through magic? |

Time consuming and costly, but it works. |
