Magic Items balance

Hey there, was taking a look at the magic items in the DM guide, and some doubts came to me.

-Is there any reason for only having a "Big stat" item for Strenght only?. My guess is:

Dex also gives CA.

Con is useful for everyone.(Specially barbs)
Int, wis and Cha could make casters op?(And wis adds CA for monk)

-Rarity feels odd:

Flame tongue being "rare"(with a pasive +2d6 fire damage-AKA +7 damage)
Vicious weapon being "rare", deals +7 damage on a critical hit

and Oathbow being "very rare" with a daily power that adds 3d6+advantage.

-As someone ever said if the amount and power of ranged weapons must be lower than melee? as there is almost no magic bows in the book, besided the "+1 +2 +3" stuff.

They do love their swords, though, and good luck finding anything specific if you like crossbows or most other ranged weapons.  Okay, that's not completely true; there are a few things that technically count as ranged if you're okay with using melee weapons that can also be thrown, but the only really useful one is the dwarven thrower warhammer because it comes back every time you throw it.

You also have some archery-related additions, like the bracers of archery (which are actually pretty good, and are only uncommon) and the quiver of Ehlonna (which isn't all that useful, because the encumberance system is generous).  Beyond which you've got things that everything, like basic magic, vicious (which can apply to any weapon), and warning (which also applies to any weapon, but doesn't help a weapon do its job of hurting things and would be just as good on a scabbard or a pebble).

Oh, and there's the helm of head exploding brilliance, which can light any weapon on fire for an extra 1d6 fire damage.  It's not as lethally dangerous to you, personally, as in previous editions.
