| #1melloredFeb 04, 2015 9:20:02 | What happens if i use malleable illusion on simulacrum?
Can i change a copy of a wizard into one of the fighter? Can i change a copy of the fighter into one of the wizard? If so, what happens with spells and hit points? |
| #2TimboramaFeb 04, 2015 10:28:17 | It's a headache. I had some responses, but that's the best thing I can say. It's a headache. Easiest answer: No, because the duration disqualifies it. (1 min vs. "until dispelled")
Anything else gets into: Do I need their bodies on hand? Do I spend money each time? Do they start with Fresh HP and/or spells? All of which seem very gamey, and more fit for a super-annoying BBEG or a theory bot (though the best theory bot is still Simulacrum someone with Wish prepared, and then make infinite Simulacrums...) |

| #4KalaniFeb 04, 2015 10:54:08 | Simulacrums don't have souls to transfer into a magic jar.... They are what they say on the tin... A simulacrum of the individual, a facsimile....They have more in common with a construct than they do with the original person. |

As for the duration issue? That's my simplest explanation to nip a problem in the bud by the (slightly twisted) rules. |

| #12KalaniFeb 04, 2015 12:13:25 | I may have misread the initial question. I thought the simulacrum was casting magic jar, and seeing as it doesn't have a true soul (per se), there would be nothing for the simulacrum to transfer into the magic jar.
If you are talking about possessing the simulacrum - I see that as a perfect use of the magic jar spell, and is very much a Palpatine darkside thing to do (in the comics, Palpatine returns in a cloned body, causing Luke to seek him out, and become his apprentice in an effort to uncover his secret clone factory and destroy it - only for Luke to succumb to the darkside albeit briefly). |
