#1 Kentor_Slowhand_02 Apr 30, 2015 15:16:35	Hey all, I was wondering if the gnome's minor illusion power or the lvl 1 spell phantasmal image (?) could be used to camouflage someone, say by casting an image of a rock or a tree over someone standing still.
#2 Noctaem Apr 30, 2015 15:31:43	Guessing you mean the level 1 spell silent image.  The answer to your question is yes for both spells.  They both state that physical interaction with the illusion just causes your hand for example to go through it, not that it ends or anything else.  So for example you could block a passage with the illusion of a wall or rock.  You could cast the spell over someone crouching down on the ground and holding still in order to cover them with the illusion of a boulder as you said or have them standing and cast the spell to create the illusion of a column.  There's lots of things you can do with these spells if you have some imagination.  What's interesting too is that if the illusion is not detected, a creature inside the illusion this way can't be seen so could roll a stealth check to hide.  Anyway the answer is yes, it works.  Just keep in mind the size restrictions of each spell, 5 feet cube for minor illusion and 15 feet for silent image.
