Monk and Magic Weapons or Armor

I assume this has been answered somewhere but my forum searching did not help me find it.

While everybody else will be gaining benefits from +1 Armor and +1 Weapons, to honor the playstyle and mechanic of a monk, Unarmored Defense and Unarmed Strike require that neither be worn or weilded.  All other classes will have a way to get themselves a +1 to the stats that work off of these. What is the best way for a monk to gain the related benefits (besides finding a Legendary robe)?

Is there an expectation or plan to gain benefits via Magic Items for the monk in this regard?

Thanks

Since the final Monk rules won't be out until August, we won't know for sure until then how exactly this would work.

Does that mean that anybody who played a Monk during the Playtest never used or had access to Magic Items for armor or weapons?  Pouring of the Playtest material, it does not appear that there was any kind of option for this.  Granted, we'll have the real answer in a few weeks, but I wanted to know what anyone else might have done or seen during the playtest.

In the playtest I ran, the monk found a Nunchaku +1 and a magic belt that increased your Dex bonus by +1 for the purposes of determining AC.

Perhaps there will be a progression for monks to treat their unarmed strikes as magical weapons. I believe this was a feature in the past.

If not, it is pretty easy to imagine bracers, rings, gloves or brass knuckles that grant a magical bonus to a monk's unarmed strikes. May even grant additional ki points or augment other class features. I am finding magical item creation to be more creative and easier than past editions - at least for me.

I think the Monk unarmed strike counted as magical for overcoming resistances etc and the Ring of Protection mentioned above is in the Starter Set already. So probably no problem.

From the alpha:

"Ki Empowered Strikes
Starting at 6th level, your unarmed strikes count as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to

nonmagical attacks and damage."

Since the unarmed damage scales up, and there is bounded acuracy, I don't see an issue. And if you have a wizard who can cast Mage Armor on you, you'll have impressive AC, so you should be fine.

There are "monk weapons" sidebar. You can use your unarmed dmg bonus for those weapons too. So, you may use magical monk weapons and their purposes/abilities as well..

From both the playtest and the Basic Rules, Mage Armour doesn't stack with a Monk's Wisdom bonus to AC.

From the Base Rules for Mage Armour "The target's Base AC becomes 13 + its Dexterity Modifier."  It's NOT a straight-up +3 bonus - although it effectively is if a wizard casts it on himself as intended.

I believe the wording for the Monk in the playtest is something like "Your Base AC is 10 + your Dexterity Modifier + your Wisdom Modifier."
