Monk Empty Body Question

Is this just normal invisible, such that if the Monk attacks, he will end the invisible status? If the invisble ends, does the damage resistance also end? Thanks!

The invisible status itself doesn't end when you attack; check PHB 291. So nothing indicates that it would end.

And the damage resistance is described as being active "during that time," referring to the 1 minute duration. I don't think it's necessarily canceled if invisibility is somehow taken away. However, the intent of the ability seems not to be that you gain 2 separate status effects, "invisible" and "resist damage." You enter an "Empty Body" state that is best described as being invisible and having damage resistance. If one ends somehow, the other should end, because they're actually the results of a single effect.

But I'm not sure how you'd go about ending one and not the other anyway. Neither are spells.
