#1 Deius1022 Aug 06, 2015 16:33:16	Okay, so I have a question, I don't know if it's dumb, or just so obvious.  But here goes.  Are the monks proficient with their unarmed attacks?   I have been letting my players use their proficiency bonus with their unarmed attacks, because that only makes sense.  And really, I am just screwing around making a character for no reason, when I noticed, it doesn't say that they are. I assume mastery of combat styles would include proficiency, haha. I was just curious what y'all thought about it.  More importantly, where does it say it? Thank you I love this game.
#2 Illithidbix Aug 06, 2015 16:41:27	Unarmed Strike is listed under Simple Weapons, and monks are proficient in Simple weapons. Martial Arts class feature then makes Unarmed Strikes better.   However this does mean that Wizards and Sorcerers don't add their proficiency bonus to attacks with unarmed strikes because they're not proficient in all Simple Weapons.

#6 Godwyn Aug 06, 2015 23:01:48	I actually preferred wizards and sorcs not being proficient with them, but it does not really affect too much either way.  It is a rare circumstance where it will matter at all.
