Monk's, Grapple and Martial Arts?

Grappling states that using the attack action allows a special melee attack - the grapple, If you get multiple attacks you can replace it with the grapple attack.

 

The Flurry of blows is worded fairly openly (use your attack action, spend the KI point and Bonus action and you'll gain the extra attacks).

 

The Martial Arts wording however may be a problem and says if you use the attack to make an unarmed strike or monk weapon strike you get the bonus attack.  Would a monk using their attack action to make a grapple attempt and still qualify to use their Bonus Action to make the Martial Arts extra unarmed strike?

I would allow it either way. I see no problem with using an attack granted from any source, martial arts or flurry, to use as a grapple. To hell with rules interpretations, if it feels like it's something that should be allowable, allow it. Nothing will get broken from it. Except some hooha's speed.
