#1 sorednax3 Sep 30, 2014 10:37:58	I was reading up on Driders in the new MM, and talks of the Spider-Qween Lolth who summons Drow to "pass a test" and those that fail become driders.   I currently have a player whose elf is in fact a drow (in cogneto).   I'd like to incorporate this into the storyline, essentially re-enforcing the plot with the addive that the quest is his test, and faiure he'll become a drider. But there's no write up on her that I saw.   I wonder if something like this could/should be used as additional motivation for such a character. Is this a plausable expression of her "test?" Where can I go to find more about her? any links or history you could provide would be great.   thanks

#5 sorednax3 Sep 30, 2014 12:45:05	well, since I am running the Tyranny of Dragons campaign, perhaps from her POV, a free roaming Tiamat may be something she wouldn't want. Evil often hates evil sort of thing.

She is evil, so many DMs won't permitted PCs to be evil. It is also a sure way to get you killed if anyone finds out.   It is almost impossible for a drow to go incognito. Their light sensativity means makes them nearly as hard to fool any party members as a vampire. Go out on the sun and you are squiting, covering your eyes, and having a hard time seeing much.
#8 Shiftkitty Sep 30, 2014 18:23:12	Lolth is also very capricious according to every book I've got (only Starter Kit for 5e, I'm afraid). Her tests could be anything that suited her whim.   Drow: Do your laundry? Pfft! Piece of cake! Lolth: You haven't smelled my underwear pile yet, have you?
