#1 strangerr Apr 10, 2015 13:29:21	From rulebook:   First, you decide what perceivable circumstance will trigger your reaction. Then, you choose the action you will take in response to that trigger, or you choose to move up to your speed in response to it. Examples include “If the cultist steps on the trapdoor, I’ll pull the lever that opens it,” and “If the goblin steps next to me, I move away.”   So my friends and I are wondering, if you use your Reaction to Ready an Action. Can you also move as part of that reaction?    For instance,  "On Jacob's turn, I will move up to my speed to within 5 feet of this particular enemy, and Help his attack".    Or    "If an enemy approaches me, I will retreat up to my speed and fire at him with my bow"    Is the "Or" in the rules an exclusive OR?  Are you able to both move and perform an action as a readied reaction?

I'm inclined to to think it's intended that you can do both, otherwise, they'd have left it as just 'action' and allow you to take Dash for it.   Of course, the inclusion of the 'movment' option could just be explicitly giving the option of Dash without saying so...   I don't think it would break anything, so I'd probably allow it to be both move and action as long as that's what you say when you ready.

#6 Grazel Apr 10, 2015 14:18:35	I take it as exclusive. It says you determine your circumstance to trigger your Reaction.   Then you either A) take an Action in response or B) take a Move in response.   Move and Action are two different elements of combat and Ready just leets you do one as it is a Reaction. The wording does seem to imply that you could get a double Move in a turn but not two Actions since Ready counts as an Action that just creates a Reaction to do an Action or Move.   It's also possible the wording of an example was misleading and it doesn't allow a full Move action but the "move away" implies the 5-foot step that can be part of an Action and doesn't count as a Move. Then you could do a 5-foot step then Attack.
