#1 RiellysRangers Oct 15, 2014 19:55:28	We have a level 1 fighter in our group and he is dual wielding. We read the part in the movement section were it addresses a fighter using the extra attack feature can move in between attacks. Our question is if a level one fighter(or anyone dual wielding) can move, make an attack, move again, then make his bonus action to attack another creature.

#4 paulstrait Oct 15, 2014 21:40:09	Ok, so I don't think the following argument is very good, but I would like to understand better what precisely is wrong about it:   On one hand, it is true that if you have an action that gives you multiple attacks, you can move between those attacks:   If you take an action that includes more than one weapon attack, you can break up your movement even further by moving between those attacks.
#5 2Chlorobutanal Oct 15, 2014 23:11:57	Look at a monk's Flurry of Blows for an example of specified timing.  To me, Two-Weapon Fighting's "when" means during the same turn.  Flurry of Blows says something along the lines of "immediately following" or "immediately after."

Part of me believes that since he is twf the bonus action was meant to supplement the first strike and hit the same target with a quick follow up attack. #10 -ktkenshinx- Oct 16, 2014 21:31:17	I think you can do it, just not using the "Moving Between Attacks" rule. That rule specifices "If you take AN ACTION that includes more than one weapon attack...". Extra Attack is such an action. But the TWF bonus action is not; that is a separate action from your attack action.   Thankfully, there is a clause just above the "Moving Between Attacks" passage that accounts for this: "You can break up your movement on your turn, using some of your speed before and after your action. For example, if you have a speed of 30 feet, you can move 10 feet, take your action, and then move 20 feet."   So you can move 10 feet and take the attack action. Then move 20 feet and take the bonus action. TWF doesn't specify timing. It just specifes a condition that triggers the bonus action. Once you trigger that action, you can take it whenever you want. Which could be after your move.
