#1 Mapleswitch Jul 22, 2015 15:10:15	Is this correct according to rules as they are written? Lets say you start off with 5 levels of bard, you dip 1 level into cleric, and then take your 7th class level as level 6 bard.  As a 7th level caster, you have access to 4th level spell slots.  In the bard section under "Spells known of 1st level or higher" (3rd paragraph), the book says "when you gain a level in this class, you can choose one of the bard spells you know and replace it with another spell from the bard spell list, which also must be of a level for which you have spell slots."  When you gain your 7th level (level 6 bard), you replace one of your lower level spells with a '4th level spell slot' spell.

#4 lawrencehoy Jul 22, 2015 21:35:30	The Multi-classing rules override the general rules.   Also, the section in the Bard class write-up (and any other class with similar wording) is refering specifically to the table for that class (without multi-class rules being considered); so, when using that sentance, you would still use that table.
#5 mellored Jul 22, 2015 21:46:59	you know spells "as if you where" a level 6 bard, and only a level 6 bard. you prepair spells "as if you where" a level 1 cleric, and only a lebvel 1 cleric. THEN you combine spell slots.
