When a Warlock multiclasses with another spellcasting class, does the level of the Warlock's spell slots increase with levels in the second class? For instance a 1st level Warlock multiclasses to sorcerer (2), would the Warlock spell slot then be 2nd level?

Thanks for any and all responses

No.

Though you can cast sorcerer spell with warlock slots, and vice versa.

i think they should make a special case for warlocks, that works something like this: your total warlock spell pool doesn't increase (use separate tables because they are drastically different and reduced), but you add your total spell caster level with Wizard or Sorcerer, for purposes of determining your maximum Warlock level for Mystic Arcanum. Thus if you were an 8 Warlock 9 Wizard, you would be considered a level 17 warlock for purposes of Mystic Arcanum, and could learn 1 9th level spell. This is drastically different balance wise, but it would give something to warlock combos since their spell tables don't stack.(they don't have spell tables and always cast as 1st-5th).

I'm curious what other people think about this balancing idea? At the most it would add 4 additional spells to the Cross class, but they would be 6th-9th level spells. I could see how the ArchFey might permit crossover with Clerics, Bards, or Druids for this purpose. WoTC could even select two classes with 9th level spell users for each Patron category.

For example,

ArchFey: Bard, Druid

Old Ones: Wizard, Wild Mage Sorcerer

Fiend: Cleric, Draconic Sorcerer
