Mainly thinking with Polearm Master here but it applies to any OA:

When you hit a creature with an OA with Sentinel it's speed drops to 0, so they can't move.

But you can move through allies although they count as difficult terrain, as long as you don't end the movement there.

So what happens when you hit an enemy with an OA as they're moving through an allies space?

Their speed drops to 0 so they can't move, but they can't end the movement in another creatures square.

I believe it would end in the ally's space since the rules only say you can’t willingly end your move in its space, and in this case its not.

BR71 Moving Around Other Creatures: Whether a creature is a friend or an enemy, you can’t  willingly end your move in its space.

Actually, the Opportunity Attack interrupts the creature's movement.  So, the creature wouldn't move into the ally's space.

PHB 195, "The attack interrupts the provoking creature's movement, occurring right before the creature leaves your reach."
