#1 Hateflayer Apr 23, 2015 17:02:12	Hey guys, quick (I'm lying) question. I'm looking at multiclassing from Paladin. Into Cleric. Now, I'm presenting a hypothetical projection.   A level 7 Cleric/Level 4 Paladin. With multiclass spell slots, I see I have 5th level spell slots. The PHB says I don't have access to spells of levels I don't KNOW. Paladins don't have a 'Spells Known' class feature. Does this allow me to get 5th level Paladin spells at this level, since I dodge the 'Spells Known' clause? Would this work with Cleric spells as well, since their spells aren't 'known'? I've looked it over thoroughly, and maybe it's just my brain seeing what I want to see, but I think this works. Any insights?
#2 jonathonhawke Apr 23, 2015 17:10:40	No, you prepare Cleric spells as a 7th level Cleric, and Paladin spells as a 4th level Paladin. You can use the higher level slots to cast your prepared spells.
