PHB spells errata?

- Where is Wizard 8 Trap the Soul?

 

- Is Paladin 5 Destructive Smite detailed as Destructive Wave?

 

- Color Spray typo - "this spell can effect."

Trap the Soul was merged into Imprisonment.

 

Destructive Smite/Wave is known, waiting for errata.

 

Good catch on colour spray "this spell can effect" should definitely be "affect"

Regarding Trap the Soul

All we know about this spell is that one of the following scenarios is true:

  • The spell was deliberately removed, either due to similarity with other spells, imbalance, or another unknown reason.
  • The spell was combined with Imprisonment 
  • The spell was accidentilly ommitted from the book.

In either case, the entry on the spellcasting table is an editing artifact.

And I was clarifying that imprisonment does not do what trap the soul used to do, so I don't think that scenario is likely.

The half-orc has a height discrepency typo in its description.;

 

PHB40 Scarred and Strong:  Half-orcs stand between 6 and 7 feet tall and usually weigh between 180 and 250 pounds.

 

PHB41 Size: Half-orcs are somewhat larger and bulkier than humans, and they range from 5 to well over 6 feet tall.

Was just browsing wizard spells and found something rather odd. Rary's Telepathic Bond is a divination spell, however Telepathy is listed as evocation despite being an upgraded version of Telepathic bond. That combined with an omnious lack of 8th level divination spells leads me to believe WotC assigned the wrong spell school to Telepathy.
