Does the Polearm master need War Caster to cast Edlrtich Blast as a reaction while wielding a Polearm?

Also Since enemies provoke while entering you're square, do you have disadvantage while casting Eldritch Blast on them as an opportunity attack?

*note If you have repealing strike, you only have disadd until you hit the first time since you push back when you hit.

Yeah, but the chance to hit that guy with disadvantage means getting that first hit is a risky proposition.

Opportunity attacks interrupt movement (ie they happen before the movement). Thus the opportunity attack is made before the target is within 5 feet of you, it happens when the creature attempts to enter the space within 5 feet of you. This means your eldritch OA does not suffer disadvantage.

why would you get to use Eldritch Blast? the polearm is the reason the AoO is provoked, not the Blast
