#1 EvilAnagram Aug 21, 2014 12:39:47	On another forum, someone pointed out that a druid could use Conjure Woodland Beings as an eighth level spell to summon 24 pixies, each of which is capable of casting polymorph. Could this be used against an ancient dragon? Even with a +9 WIS save, it's likely to fail 3-4 times. I was under the impression that all dragons were shapechangers and immune to unwanted polymorphs; however, I can't find anything in the rules that were posted to fb to support this. Am I missing something, or will I have to house rule this?
#2 reddaemon Aug 21, 2014 14:22:36	Of course you can.  But the hit points of the new form are tracked separately from the dragon's normal form.  So you can turn it into a snake, turtle, whatever.  Note that the maximum duration of the spell is only 1 hour.  Eventually the dragon will revert to normal form, one way or another.  Whether it dies in the polymorphed form or the spell duration runs out, it will transform back into a dragon with whatever HP and abilities it had before.   As a DM, I would pay special attention to any spell that player says that they cast after they polymorph the dragon.  As soon as they cast any spell with a duration of concentration, poof! dragon comes back.  Let them think that their clever trick worked but don't remind them that it only has a 1 hour duration.
