#2 Hailrobonia Aug 22, 2014 15:56:05	Nope. The flame stays in your hand, or you can throw it. You can't place it on something and have it sustained.  For a real flaming arrow, you'd have to wrap the head in something flammable like pitch and light that. There are no rules for flaming arrows though... I'd say it reduces the piercing damage of the arrow to 1d4 (because of extra weight, etc. on the arrow and less penetration) but adds a point of fire damage... useful for setting things on fire but not a super weapon bonus.
#3 2Chlorobutanal Aug 23, 2014 1:27:21	The 3rd-level Paladin spell elemental weapon can create a bow that fires flaming arrows, which would deal 1d4 fire damage in addition to the normal weapon damage.  It can be enhanced to deal up to 3d4 bonus fire damage with higher level spell slots.   This is the closest spell to a fire arrows equivalent that I've noticed in the PHB.
