#1 DLfan Feb 01, 2015 0:26:30	Some monsters in the game such as giants and hydra's have a reach greater than 5 feet. If a monster is 10 or 15 feet away from a PC, does that PC provoke an attack of opportunity when it moves 1or or 15 feet towards the monster to engage it?
#2 Macv12 Feb 01, 2015 1:25:58	You only provoke when you move outside the enemy's reach (PHB 195), so moving into it or moving while inside it doesn't provoke (unless they have something like Sentinel that provides more ways to trigger an OA). If the enemy has multiple attacks with different reaches (like a Bite attack of 5ft and a Tail attack of 10ft), it's reasonable to expect that you'll provoke OA when moving outside of the shorter range, even if you're still within the larger range, but I don't know if that's an official rule.   At any rate, you have nothing to worry about when approaching the target.
