#1 TheLoneRanger1979 Dec 09, 2014 23:06:41	I have a bit of a tech question here considering MC-ing into a fighter. When gaining the first level of the fighter class, i would guess you do not get a 2nd fighting style (page 164 PHB), but what about if MC-ing into a champion and reaching the level when you take a 2nd fighting style? Do you take it then? Also, how do 2 styles work? Do you need to switch between them or do they work simultaneously? I.E. defense (+1 AC when armored) and two handed expert (re-roll 1s and 2s)?
#2 Kentus Dec 10, 2014 3:08:56	You actually get the 2nd fighting style at 1st fighter level (as long you had one before), you simply can't take the same one twice. Both (or all three, depending on class) are working at the same time, as long the prequisites are met (like wearing an armor and using a two-handed or versatile melee weapon in two hands). So dueling and two-weapon fighting can't be use simultaneous, for example.
