Hi all, I have some questions about mounted combat, hope you can help.
1. The Player's Handbook says: "The initiative of a controlled mount changes to match yours when you mount it. "
This means that the mount will act before or after the mounted character in the turn order? Or will both act as one in a single turn? If both act in a single turn, can I do a "yoshi jump" and move 60 ft. mounted, unmount and move more 15 ft.? (considering I have speed of 30 ft.)
2. The Player's Handbook says: "It moves as you direct it, and it has only three action options: Dash, Disengage, and Dodge."
This mean that the mounted character can attack in his or her turn and the mount can use a dodge or disengage action? It seems like a rogue's Cunning Action feature, but free of the bonus action cost; is it right or am I missing something?
3. If an enemy hits the mount or the mounted character, does the mount or mounted character needs to make any sort of check? (to do not fall from the mount, for instance)
