#1 KaliRA73 Apr 26, 2015 9:12:52	I'm new to D&D and I don't know my players were abusing Turn Undead. If the cleric casts it and all the undead get turned and run away can the cleric then run up an undead and attack them with a weapon while they are cowering? (assuming that the undead are trapped in a corner or something and can't run away any more).
#2 AaronOfBarbaria Apr 26, 2015 9:39:19	Important notes on Turn Undead, all found within the ability's description in the rules: "If the creature fails its saving throw, it is turned for 1 minute or until it takes any damage." "For its action, it can use only the Dash action or try to escape from an effect that prevents it from moving. If there's nowhere to move, the creature can use the Dodge action." So yes, your cleric player can use Turn Undead to chase undead into a corner and then run up and attack - but it's likely that the attack will be at disadvantage, and once an attack hits the undead it gets to fight back.
#3 AndrewJO Apr 26, 2015 9:39:30	There shouldn't be much abuse, your cleric has to rest between uses of turn undead. Also, if an undead is turned and has nowhere to move, it uses to dodge action, which causes attacks to be made with disadvantage against it. Other than that, yes, your cleric can attack an undead that has been turned.
