When a monks use Deflect Missiles and reduces the damage to 0, they have the option of spending a ki point to make an attack with the arrow/bolt/whatever. What is the range of this attack? Is it equal to the original weapon?

If so, you could make a really really long shot by having a monk stand at the extreme range of your longbow, shoot him, and have him deflect along the same direction.

I THINK the ammunition would be an improvised weapon. If you watch a handaxe or something like that, I'd use it's range instead.

I think it would return with the same as if it had been fired originally from the original weapon (notice how it talks about the fact that you get proficency in it regardless of your normal weapon proficencies).

+1 to IxidorRS. Most thrown weapons are 20/60 already anyway. Throwing an arrow 150/600 is just too crazy for my taste but YMMV.
