Let's say I am wielding a reach weapon, like a Halberd, if an enemy that is by my side moves one square away from me (to a distance of 10 feet), do I get an attack of opportunity?   2. If someone who is also wielding a reach weapon comes to a distance of 10 feet, attack me, and moves away, do I get an attack of opportunity?   3. If I have the Polearm Master feat, and an enemy that is 10 feet away comes closer, do I get an attack of opportunity?   4. If I have the Polearm Master feat and someone with a reach weapon comes to attack me at a 10 feet distance, do I get an attack of opportunity?

Yes, because he has entered your reach.     FYI Managing Editor Jeremy Crawford clarified over on twitter the distance at which the opportunity attack was provoked based on weapons with Polearm Master;   @JeremyECrawford On the grid, the target is adjacent if you're using a quarterstaff, but 5 feet away with the other PM weapons.

#10 shivafang Sep 01, 2014 23:12:42	I have no issue with the balance.  My issue is with the fact that the developers (allegedly) intended it one way, and most people read it a completely different way.  I would be totally fine if the rules unambigously supported Jeremy's interpretation (That's actually how I tought it worked before I actually read the reach property text.)   I'm not sure if that's because the left hand wasn't talking to the right, and the people who wrote that line thought the intent was something else - or weather it just got missed in the numerous rounds of playtesting (or changed at the last minute)   Now there's going to be table variation between those that keep up with Jeremy's tweets and those who don't.
