#1 c0r3 Jul 18, 2014 7:38:51	If a 5th level fighter fighting with two light weapons readies the attack action, I think RAW says:   When his trigger goes off and he gets his attack action he will get two attacks because of his 5th level fighter feature.  He will not be able to take the bonus action with the offhand weapon because it is not his turn and readied actions can only trigger a single action outside of his turn.   Do I have that right?

#4 Noctaem Jul 18, 2014 17:45:11	Yes because you're taking the Attack action which gets the extra attacks.   EDIT:  This is incorrect.  The Extra Attack feature actually specifies that it only works "on your turn" so an Attack Action readied during your turn which then goes off as a reaction outside of your own turn would not benefit.
#5 Ashrym Jul 18, 2014 16:51:16	I don't agree that readying gives multiple attacks. Extra attack adds an attack when the fighter takes the attack action, which uses the action in combat. Readying an action uses up the action and leaves a reaction for the actual attack. There is a difference between the attack action and making an attack.
#6 Noctaem Jul 18, 2014 17:52:29	After re-reading the feature I realized I made a key mistake.  In the feature itself it actually specifies that:   "... whenever you take the Attack Action on your turn."   I've edited my previous post to reflect this.  The answer is that you don't get the extra attacks from the feature outside of your own turn, just like you don't get the extra attack from wielding two light weapons as a bonus action outside of your turn.   Sorry for the mistake.   However what Ashrym is describing wouldn't matter if the "on your turn" clause was not part of the feature.  When you ready an action, the action is still exactly what it is.  I could ready a move action which would go off as a reaction, but would still be a move action which could potentially benefit from other things because it's a move action.  So if the "on your turn" clause was missing, you would get the Extra Attack benefit because you're taking an Attack Action, only as a reaction outside of your turn.  I believe this is exactly why they added the "on your turn" clause to begin with.

#9 c0r3 Jul 19, 2014 15:04:23	Noctaem, great catch, it does infact say the bonus attacks are only on the fighter's turn.  Which, that makes the most sense to me and now that RAI and RAW seem to be the same in this matter I feel warm and fuzzy and am glad I asked my question on this forum.  Big help.
