I've been searching for a ruling for blink, but only come up with things regarding it not being concentration, but never really address unconscious.

If a character casts the Blink spell, and while on the plane he's trying to escape from, is knocked unconscious, if another player stabilizes him or heals him, is Blink still in affect?  The spell says it ends when uncast.  Is that the only option?

In a situation like this, I'd just do what the player thinks is reasonable.

By the book it doesn't end. I'd say that's pretty unambiguous.

I always pictured it as being an effect outside of the casters control... you can't decide not to blink out on a turn if its inconvenient. So I would just play it continues when you're unconcious. But if a player felt strongly they wanted it to end if you're unconscious, I wouldn't fuss about it. I don't see it making a big difference in terms of effectiveness. That interpretation might help you in one fight, but hurt you in another.

Well, the situation was, he only wanted to keep it becasue he was out of slots to recast it.  He can dismiss it as an action.  If it persists while unconscious, would he then have to make the d20 roll while unconscious to blink out considering he can't make an action to end it?  This seems like a viable option as it can have a 50% chance at being beneficial or not.  Example, he's unconscious, makes a death saving throw, then at the end of his turn, the spell goes off, the player rolls for the spells mechanic and it's determined he blinked out.  Now while on the ethereal plane, he can't be healed from his party members (negatice effect).  Flipping the scenario, a failure on the blink roll allows him to remain and his party can raise him to his feet (positive effect).

Or a party member can ready an action to cast a healing spell when he returns - one that doesn't require touch, since where the unconscious wizard turns up might not be the same place he or she left.

That d20 to Blink is not a conscious decision, it is just the player determing a 50-50 chance that the character Blinks rather than the DM doing it. I can see the unconscious caster bkinking away before any allies can attempt to stabilize him. Coming back the player cannot choose the location as they are unconscious. They come back where they fell.It is only a one minute duration, I don't see the harm in letting it persist.

@Worblade - yeah, I think that's what I'm going to go with.
