| #1GalarrazJun 01, 2015 6:59:03 | friends I do not know if this is the correct place for this type of post, but if it is not excuse me today in my meeting one doubts arose: After rolling the initiatives of the rogue group would attack first , however he was sneaky and narrate their attack said he would use stealth to take a vested at the opponent. Is that possible ? for therefore he would have to run and I 'd like to know , it is possible to run when using stealth ? |

Even if you do move out into the open, the DM can decide whether the monsters see you or not. You do have to be quiet while you are hiding, so if you are trying to move very fast, the DM might decide you are making too much noise. But normally it should be OK. |

Most rogues can use their bonus action to Hide, then move and then their action to Dash. Monks can instead use their Action to Hide, move and then Dash with their bonus action and a ki point.
I presumed that where the OP said 'run' he meant Dash, as that's the closest equivalent that comes to mind. |
| #4GalarrazJun 01, 2015 9:23:51 | then the player can use dash when using stealth ? |
| #5jaelisJun 01, 2015 9:25:31 | Perhaps but then it seems to suggest that on the first turn, the rogue hid, dashed, and attacked. I don't know that you can normally do all of those. |

As long as he doesn't run with scissors, because that never ends well. |

| #11Rya.ReisenderJun 02, 2015 5:10:00 | You can use the dash action and stay hidden, but most people here would probably rule that hiding ends the moment you move 5ft out of cover already. |

However they do states that a hidden character can approach a target if the target is distracted. So in some cases you will be able to leave total cover if the target is distracted. |
