Abundance of Reactionary Actions
What do you think? So your Reactions per round would go from 1 to a minimum of 2 to a maximum of 6. |
| #2melloredJul 03, 2015 10:34:40 | no. but i could see a feat that let you multi-attack as an OA. |
| #3OoftaMegJul 03, 2015 10:38:04 | There are already some very powerful feat combinations, this would make it worse. Either you're going to have some really broken combos or it's only rarely going to be used.
So I would say no. If you do try it at your game, I'd be curious how it works in play. Some things you just don't know how they work until you take it for a spin. |

| #5Slit518Jul 03, 2015 16:50:51 | Or what if it were just a Reactionary Attack? |
| #6NevvurJul 03, 2015 16:57:51 | Such a feat predicts a "rogue bomb," i.e. a rogue that situates himself within melee reach of multiple targets, and either through multiclassing or an ally's abilities, causes the creatures to provoke opportunity attacks. If the rogue is of sufficient level to have both the extra reaction feat and sentinel, it becomes stupid powerful very fast. |
| #7GladiusLegisJul 03, 2015 18:37:30 | The closest 5e has come to this is the optional DMG marking rules, which lets you make OAs against enemies you attack and mark without using up your reaction.
I wouldn't want a feat like the OP described, though. That's way too much. |
| #8GlimjackJul 04, 2015 4:19:45 | Combine this with Defensive Duelist and a high level character can add +6 to his AC a total of 7 times per turn. |
| #9BRJNJul 04, 2015 16:37:07 | I've seen a bottleneck scenario where the OP's feat would be an "I win" button. Just stand between the enemy and their escape hatch, then wait for anybody with special notes "will flee when reduced to half or less HP" to come by.
|
| #10Ralif_RedhammerJul 06, 2015 7:21:28 | The one reaction rule balances so much, so I'd vote against as well. Just imagine a battlemaster using their riposte reaction again and again and again in combat, on top of their normal attacks. |
| #11ZHDarkstarJul 07, 2015 16:37:10 | Combat Reflexes (the 3.5 feat which is identical to the OP's feat) should never see the light of day again. |
| #12HorwathJul 08, 2015 5:25:11 | Feat:
Combat reflexes. you gain additional reaction per round.
if it's too weak on it's own slap a +1 ability bonus on it.
|
| #13jaelisJul 09, 2015 8:18:01 | I don't think you should ever give more reactions. But I could see a feat like: |
