Perhaps it's clear to some, but...   Q) Outside of armor/weapon proficiencies, do multiclass characters gain any skills upon attaining 1st level in the second class?   I'm converting an old-edition fighter/mage into a 5e fighter/wizard, that's why I'm asking. I'd like to think that they get at least one skill proficiency from their new class, otherwise I'll have to take the Skilled feat (which is a little overkill for what I'm trying to do).
