It appears now you only "progress" in the skills you select as your class skills and back ground skills. You also do not gain extra skills for having a high Intelligence?
1. Is the above all correct? 2. Is there any way to learn more skills later in your career?

| #4ChimerasameJul 15, 2014 16:35:53 | Hypothetical ways we expect to be able to learn skills in the PHB:
1. Multiclassing will most likely give you skills from any new classes you multiclass into.
2. There was a feat in one of the playtests which gave you a couple skill proficiencies, as I recall. Something like this may exist in PHB. |
| #5Sword_of_SpiritJul 15, 2014 17:09:48 | You will most likely be able to use feats to acquire new skills. Some DMs may let you use downtime to learn new skills (option may appear in the DMG)...but that way lies a slippery slope IMO.

| #9Lord_KyrionJul 16, 2014 1:49:01 | It's also probable that they will add rules for skill training during downtime. You can already train a new tool proficiency, I see no reason why you wouldn't be able to gain a skill proficiency. |
