#1 GazzaM Oct 10, 2014 11:12:47	Is a spellcasters Proficiency Bonus considered a one of the classes proficiencies that may or may not be available through multiclassing, since it does not appear on Multiclassing Proficiences on page 164. So, If I'm playing a Fighter than add a level of Cleric, could I miss out on the proficiency bonus for my Cleric spells (for the Spell Save DC and Spell Attack Modifier) ?

I think I understand your question now.   The reason you gain those proficiencies is because it's granted by a class feature, rather than just being a base proficiency of the class. It's kind of like how high level Rogues gain proficiency in Wisdom saves. If you're a Rogue of X level, then you gain proficiency on Wisdom saves. If you're a Cleric of Y level, then you gain spellcasting proficiency with the appropriate casting stat.   It's just that, in this case, Y = 1.
#5 Saelorn Oct 10, 2014 15:22:10	At least, that's why they felt that they didn't have to include the entry on the Multiclass Proficiency table. I can state with absolute certainty that it is the intent of the rule for you to be able to adequately use those spells which you are capable of casting. They just wouldn't give someone access to spells without letting them add the appropriate stat to the relevant checks.
#6 El_Condoro Oct 10, 2014 15:42:11	p. 164 PHB under 'Spellcasting'   If you multiclass but have the Spellcasting feature from only one class, you follow the rules as described in that class.   and a bit further down...   Each spell you know and prepare is associated with one of your classes, and you use the spellcasting ability of that class when you cast a spell.   Is that what you mean?   [Edit] Wow, couple that with what it says about 'Proficiency Bonus' on p. 163 and that Fighter 8/ Wizard 1 will cast spells with a +4 Prof Bonus even though s/he is only level 1 in wizard. Not bad.
