| #1RedolSep 19, 2014 10:28:08 | hello, i didn't understand in the players handbook if a bard (for example) can cast two spells in the same turn with the extra attack feature, or if the extra attack is only with weapons? the same quastion if i multiclassed in fighter 5 cleric\wizard 1 - can i cast a spell as extra attack or not?
thank you |
| #2melloredSep 19, 2014 10:35:34 | No. Extra attack is just for weapon attacks.
Fighter's Action surge can be used to cast 2 spells on the same turn. Eldrich Knights and valor bards have the option to cast and attack in the same round. Sorcerer's can quicken a spell to cast it and a cantrip in the same round.
I think that's it. |

A person can cast a cantrip as an action and one of those spells as the bonus action to cast 2 spells in the same turn as well. A person could fit in a reaction spell too, possibly. It depends on what time / action type requirement is involved in each individual spell in those cases. In anycase, that's not part of the extra attack feature. |

| #6RedolSep 19, 2014 23:16:44 | and one more question - if a fighter (lvl 5) with the extra attack feature uses his action surge, he gets 2 attacks for every action (4 attacks)? |
