Spells cast as a reaction

If I cast a spell as a reaction, (for example, feather fall), can I cast another spell using my action in the same turn?

Yes.

Note that you get a new reaction at the start of your turn.

 

So you can jump off a building, cast feather fall, and then cast lighting bolt when you land, but you won't be able to cast shield until the start of your next turn.
