I would require the caster to be able to see both the weapon and the target and use the caster's reaction to do so. Does that sound reasonable?
Also, would the caster and the weapon get advantage if the caster placed the weapon on the opposite side of the target (i.e. get flanking advantage as per the DMG)? |
